Thrive: Worship Empowered
Thrive:
to grow or develop vigorously; flourish:
Their young thrive and grow strong (Job 39:4)
"Again, God's Message: "'I'll turn things around for Jacob. I'll compassionately come in and rebuild homes. The town will be rebuilt on its old foundations; the mansions will be splendid again. Thanksgivings will pour out of the windows; laughter will spill through the doors. Things will get better and better. Depression days are over. They'll thrive, they'll flourish.
The days of contempt will be over. They'll look forward to having children again, to being a community in which I take pride. I'll punish anyone who hurts them, and their prince will come from their own ranks. One of their own people shall be their leader. Their ruler will come from their own ranks. I'll grant him free and easy access to me. Would anyone dare to do that on his own, to enter my presence uninvited?' God's Decree. (Jeremiah 30:18)

Pastor McBride is the Associate Pastor of the Tamarind Avenue Church in Compton CA. Raised in an Adventist home Pastor McBride remembers how his mother made Adventism fun and enjoyable in a time where it seemed that, “ what we didn’t do” was the prevalent reason for our faith. Pastor McBride wants to communicate to message that says, as high as Christ is, He is not too high that he doesn’t care about our dreams, habits, peer pressures, faults, pleasures, and yes of course more importantly and no less, our Salvation

Kirosha C Huggan
Kirosha Constantia Huggan aka KC has been devoting her voice to God since she can remember. Born on August 9, 1985 in Boston, MA to Seventh day Adventist parents, the church has always been a big part of her life. KC graduated from Atlantic Union College in 2007 with a Business Administration degree. However, music is her first love. Raised in a musical family, Kirosha’s father, a phenomenal pianist, taught her how to play piano and read music.

Raised in a musical family, Kirosha’s father, a phenomenal pianist, taught her how to play piano and read music.
In her college years Kirosha began to come into her own and began to do more solo ventures. By word of mouth, churches all around MA requested for Kirosha to bless them with her voice. At this time Kirosha began composing her own music and performing her original pieces in churches as far as Bermuda. Influenced by the likes of Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Cece Winanas and Take 6, to name a few, Kirosha found her own style and voice and continues to perform around the U.S. sharing her testimony with the world.

Pleasant Street SDA Pleasant Street SDA Church has always been blessed with gifted musician and singers. The praise team is fairly young and officially began early this decade, when the need for a more interactive worship service arose. At first, praise and worship was done occasionally but then the church realized the importance of praising and worshiping God together, in the service. Therefore, under the direction of Robert Kennedy III, the music director at that time, the praise team began. Though praise team leaders have come and gone since then, the idea remains the same: For all to enhance their vertical experience with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Praise team members and musicians in picture, from left to right: David Hunte (praise team leader and musician), Michelle Hunte (soprano), Mrero Mgeni (tenor), Belinda Johnson (Minister of Music, praise team leader), Jason Johnson (musician), Karen Reid (alto), Curtis Richardson (musician), Patrice Richardson (soprano), Martin ROberston (musician), Leighton Kennedy (Asst.
