By admin - Posted on 01 November 2009

Fri, 08/20/2010 (All day) - Sun, 08/22/2010 (All day)

This is an adult only training event and it is strongly recommended that all club leaders take this training before embarking on camping, hiking or canoeing with young people.  This training does not prepare participants for camping in winter.  A Winter Outdoor Camping Skills will be conducted early in the 2011.  This training is suitable for Adventurer and Pathfinder directors, Masterguides and PLA as well as youth leaders.  Although anyone with an interest can attend.
This training will not be repeated until Fall 2012.
There are three areas of training: Outdoor camping, backpacking (hiking) and canoeing.
There are a limited number of spaces so apply early.  We operate a first-come, first-served policy.
This training event is non catered and all participants will have to cook/prepare their own meals.  All equipment will have to be provided by the participants.  For more information on what to bring please contact Joyce Malin and Lydia Rojas.
The training cost $40 which covers additional training materials.
We would prefer for you to apply online.  If you desire help doing so please contact the youth department on 978 365 4551.
